Bruderheim Councillor resigns

Bruderheim will hold a by-election to fill the spot of Councillor Patrick Crawford, who resigned from his position as of Aug. 23.

The announcement came during a special council meeting on Aug. 29 at the town fire hall.

“It’s unfortunate that councillor Patrick had to resign. His reasons were personal. He contributed greatly to our community for almost two years now,” cited Bruderheim Mayor Karl Hauch.

Crawford first came to council from the election of 2017. There were seven candidates running for six positions that year, with 282 residents voting. The final tally for Crawford was 171 which won him his seat on council. After nearly two years, Crawford has resigned. He could not be reached for comment.
