Lamont eyesore lots to get cleaned up by town

Councillor Kirk Perrin introduced a couple of notices of motion at the Aug 27, Lamont town council meeting.

The first dealt with getting an update on remediation of the land between 55 St. and 54 St.

Perrin said the mess had been brought to his attention during a recent Lamont Hospital Board meeting.

“I was reminded of the situation by a board member, and I wanted to bring it up in council,” he said. “The field there is overgrown, and there are weeds and garbage in there.

“I know administration has been working on it, but I wanted it brought up so we can get an update and let people know when the situation will be addressed.”
