Lac La Biche RCMP arrest individual for child pornography
Lac La Biche RCMP were notified of a male, living in Lac La Biche, who was believed to be in possession of child pornography and distributed it online. Following a joint investigation between Lac La Biche RCMP and Alberta RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit, on September 10, 2024, Lac La Biche RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence. The suspect was arrested later that day.
Eric Sprecker, a 24-year-old resident Lac La Biche, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of child pornography
- Distribution of child pornography
Eric Sprecker was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on a release order with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 7, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lac La Biche.
The victim is not believed to be from the area.
