Bruderheim Public Works shop targeted again

The Bruderheim Public Works yard has once again become the target of thieves, in spite of a new solar powered security gate installed last year.

During the early morning hours on Feb. 12, three people in a vehicle were captured on security camera footage approaching the new security gate that guards the front entrance.

The thieves attached a chain to the gate, and their vehicle, then yanked the gate open. Once inside, they pried the door open to the public works shed where a loud security alarm immediately began to blare.

“I guess they got scared once the alarm sounded,” said Bruderheim Chief Adminstrative Officer, Patty Podoborozny.

“They just grabbed our $80 coffee maker and ran.”
