On Feb. 19, 2025 at 11:05am, Wood Buffalo RCMP received a report of an unknown male recording patrons inside the universal family change room at MacDonald Island Park, located at 1 C.A. Knight Way, in downtown Fort McMurray.
The complainant reported that on Feb. 18, 2025 between 9:30am and 9:45am while they were changing, someone placed a cell phone under the door of the change stall and possibly recorded them. The complainant then yelled at the unknown person with the phone and the suspect fled. Staff on site were notified of the incident.

Police obtained surveillance footage of the suspect and with assistance from staff, we are able to identify the male.
On Feb. 20, 2025, Wood Buffalo RCMP contacted the suspect regarding the occurrences at MacDonald Island. The suspect later turned himself into RCMP without incident.
