Beaumont resident dies in motorcycle crash

On Oct. 5, 2024, Thorsby RCMP responded to a collision between a passenger van and a motorcycle on Highway 39. Upon arrival, the driver of the motorcycle, a 38 year-old resident of Beaumont, Alta., was declared deceased.

Initial investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling east bound on Hwy 39 near Warburg with a group in a memorial bike run. Witnesses stated the motorcyclist lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a west bound minivan. The driver and passenger of the van were not injured.

RCMP send condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
