Two suspects arrested by Strathcona RCMP after attempted fraud at car dealership

On April 2, 2024, Strathcona County RCMP received a fraud complaint from a local dealership.

Strathcona County RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) completed the investigation.

It was determined a male and female attempted to purchase a vehicle worth over $90,000 fraudulently and were arrested.

Kimberley Dick (26), a resident of Edmonton, Alta. was charged with:

  • Fraud over $5,000

Patrick Durand (28), a resident of St. Albert, Alta was charged with:

  • Fraud over $5,000
  • Possession of a forged document
  • Possess identify information
  • Obtaining credit by fraud
  • Forgery
  • Obstruction

Kimberley Dick was released from custody and scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on May 22, 2024.

Patrick Durand was remanded into custody following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and is scheduled to appear on April 18, 2024 in Morinville, Alta.
